The purpose of this role is to lead the finance function at Suez Canal Container Company (SCCT), a HUB terminal strategically located at the mouth of the Suez Canal – offering zero deviation from one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world – and creating unique access to key markets in the East Mediterranean and in Egypt. As an important and growing transit and gateway facility, SCCT is capable of handling the largest containerships in the global container industry. SCCT is the only facility in Egypt able to accommodate vessels of 15,500 TEU and above.SCCT opened in 2004 on a 49-year concession. It is a Joint Venture with APM Terminals the majority shareholder (55%) and operator. Other key shareholders include COSCO (20%), the Suez Canal Authority (10.3%) and the National Bank of Egypt (5%). The CFO’s time will be split between the terminal office in Port Said and the Cairo office, jointly with the rest of the SMT.

Key responsibilities• Partner SCCT’s CEO and Senior Management Team (SMT) strategically lead, drive, oversee and manage all aspects of the SCCT Finance organization, including, Finance, Risk Management, including internal controls, and other relevant corporate functions.• Be a principal member of SCCT’s SMT, safeguarding financial discipline and adherence to financial targets.• Ensure Group and company policies and guidelines, adopted by SCCT’s Board of Directors, are strictly adhered to.• Initiate, adapt and execute functional and corporate business plans and contribute to the development of functional and corporate strategies.• Provide valuable insights, data and analysis to support decision-making to senior managers within SCCT as well as to majority and minority shareholders (including process management of investment/business case approvals).• Promote and develop a Lean Problem Solving culture in finance to support a value adding environment in the terminal.• Validate financial impact of business decisions including, accounting impact, cash flow impact, credit worthiness of customers, profitability, financial risk and tax exposure• Develop and ensure implementation of efficient and effective financial, legal, compliance, policies and systems.• Ensure timely and accurate financial and operational data flow and sign off monthly internal reporting to shareholders.• Oversee funding requirements, develop funding strategies.• Accountable for statutory reporting requirements (including external audit requirements) and tax compliance.• Provide leadership and direction through departmental and other senior managers.• Lead, develop and coach functional people development and foster close collaboration with other functions, in terminal and Group.• Lead and guide on capital expenditure projects and business cases developed and presented to the Group and Board of Directors for approval, and ensure project governance in place to ensure execution of approved investment business cases.#LI-POST
We are looking for• You preferably hold a relevant professional qualification (CPA, CIMA, CFA or similar), or a Master’s degree in finance, economics or business administration.• You have 10 years of relevant financial leadership experience and have had relevant experience in complex, Joint Venture companies.• You have strong interpersonal and exceptional stakeholder management skills with proven track record of managing through complex and demanding shareholder and stakeholder relationships.• A seasoned finance leader with high levels of engagement in managing and involvement in large and complex capital intensive projects.• You are analytical, have attention for detail, ambitious and energetic with a positive attitude towards challenges.• You take ownership of your assignments, are a self-starter and can work independently.• While working on multiple tasks, you are results focused with proven discipline and you proactively drive projects forward delivering high quality.• You have a strong motivation to develop people – coaching and mentoring to build organizational capability, talent and bench strength.• You are agile, collaborative with a strong sense of values and commercial awareness.• You demonstrate a strong cultural awareness and are driven by new challenges out of your natural comfort zones.• You demonstrate a strong business partnering mindset.POSTULER
