PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of this position is to provide support to his/her supervisor in ensuring that receipt, storage and dispatch of all supplies to and from the warehouse to last beneficiaries are done as per the standards of the organization and donors requirements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

-The Donor receive confirmation of GIK sent on due time.-A detailed report of all items from each GIK shipments is available to show what stored in the warehouse.
-GIK management documents are in place, well filled and filed. |

-Complete GIK documents according to standards and keep space clean-Easy access in warehouse for dispatches, and easy access on information from files
-Stock card and ledger book are updated. – Every loss and damaged is immediately reported |

-Have a good filing and availability of GIK received and dispatched as same in the database also in the ledger book-No GIK dispatches without authorization document provided.
– All GIK documents are filed. -GIK coordinator has monthly situation of GIK in the warehouse. -Accountability in GIK management, take part of responsibility |

– An inventory sheet is completed and approved.-All GIK items must be recorded per shipment in the ME system
-As required the closing year inventory must be submitted by September 25th. |

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
-Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Community development, business studies
-A minimum of 1 year warehousing experience and inventory management
-working experience in NGO
-1-2 years working warehouse experience
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
-Knowledge in storekeeping ,bookkeeping, clearing, forwarding and distribution
-Logistics planning skills
-Good communication and interpersonal skills
-Computer skills
-Must have analytical skills and attention to details
-Must be a reliable and honest individual
-Must be able to work under pressure
Work Environment:
-Travel 20% domestic/ AP field visit is required
-On call 10%.
