The US Embassy in Senegal hiring a Logistician Clerk.

The incumbent is assigned to the Engineering Services Center (ESC) in Dakar, Senegal. The ESC is a field operation of the Office of Security Technology under the Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The ESC provides technical support and services to several posts in West Africa. The employee manages the ESC inventory. The employee is responsible for supply chain management, logistics operations, procurement, and inventory reconciliation of technical systems and equipment maintained by the ESC and constituent posts in the region. The position reports to the OIC/ESC and takes guidance from ESC staff. The employee must possess or qualify for a Secret security clearance. The employee will occasionally travel to posts throughout Africa. This could include travel to Danger Pay posts. The officer in charge (OIC) of the Engineering Services Center (ESC) provides overall direction for the ESC and sets priorities. OIC/ESC approves travel schedules and makes special assignments of projects, as work requires.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start date: The position is currently occupied and will become vacant between May and July 2020. The candidate will be employed no earlier than the first pay period following the vacancy of the position. Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
-Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing inventories and/or managing and tracking budget expenditures is required.
-Job knowledge: Must be proficient in computer programs including MS Word, Excel and Outlook. (This will be tested.)
-Education Requirements: Completion of secondary school is required.
-Language: Level IV (fluent) English language (speaking, writing and reading) is required. (This will be tested.)
