Job Description:
The Head: Human and Corporate Resources is responsible for leading the formulation and execution of HR strategic initiatives that enable the achievement of business objectives.
The Head: Human and Corporate Resources also has oversight responsibility of the Admin function of the company including office facilities management, fleet administration, procurement of goods and services for all Metropolitan offices countrywide
Responsibilities:
Lead the process of formulating and executing the HR strategic objectives of the company
Formulate and embed best Practice HR and Administrative procedures and manuals that are aligned with the group practice and support the achievement of business objectives
Embed recruitment and Talent Management practices to ensure that the organization has the right people to support the achievement of organizational objectives
Advice the Country Head in Ghana and the executive management team on business performance initiatives required to remain relevant in the Ghanaian market and to meet the strategic objectives of the business
Provide detailed monthly report regarding the key performance indicators in the HCM area
Adhere to regulatory and statutory reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with all Health and safety regulations
Take responsibility for the financial management of the HCM area (business planning, budgets, expense management and analytical forecasting)
Oversee functions related to staff benefits administration
Identify, evaluate, develop and implement program’s and coaching interventions for management and staff to optimize the human capital of the companies
Research and advice on remuneration (compensation and benefits) and job grading
Drive a client centric environment that focuses on best practice service delivery
Effectively lead team and create a positive work climate and culture to energize team
Demonstrate exemplary leadership behavior, through personal involvement, commitment and dedication in support of organizational values
Oversee the budgeting and financial reporting process and implement sound financial controls
Prepare annual budgets in accordance with the strategic objectives and business plans and ensure that the business operates within the allocated
Influence the allocation and management of shared costs in line with the groups (Ghana) model
Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
A first degree from a reputable University in HR, Psychology or related field
A Professional qualification in HR (IHRMP, SHRM, CIPD etc.)
A second degree is an advantage
Good understanding of the Life Insurance market in Ghana
