COVID-19 Grant Opportunity is focused on support for nonprofit organizations that have been impacted by COVID-19, including but not limited to:
Human service organizations (i.e. meeting basic needs, family support, mental health services, etc.)
Senior service organizations
Youth outreach/engagement organizations
Educational organizations
Arts & culture organizations
Environmental and animal welfare organizations
People of Color Led Capacity Building Opportunity is focused on strengthening the infrastructure and organizational effectiveness of people of color led organizations working in the areas of racial equity, economic mobility, and educational attainment. Capacity building focus areas include, but are not limited to, board governance, financial management, fundraising, partnering & collaboration, strategic communications, succession planning and evaluation.
Funding Information
Grant amounts awarded will range from $5,000-$50,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The Spartanburg County Foundation defines people of color led organizations as meeting two of the following three criteria:
Governed-By: Majority of Board are people of color
Led By: Executive Director is a person of color
Serving: Primarily serving communities of color
Please Note: The Foundation considers people of color to include the race/ethnicities of African Americans, Hispanic/Latinx Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, Pacific Islander Americans, Middle Eastern Americans, and multiracial Americans.
