The Arca Foundation is seeking applications for its Grant Program to support organizations and projects that work to advance economic and racial justice, an inclusive democracy, peace and security, human rights, and a clean environment.

The Foundation supports strategic initiatives that work to engage diverse, impacted communities in organization that puts people on the front lines of social change; educate the public about policies that advance the greater good; promote transparency and access to information; and strive for structural, game-changing reforms.
The Arca Foundation’s average grant is approximately $50,000. However, many are less and a few are larger grants, depending upon the project.
The state-focused funding will prioritize 501(c)(3) organizations that meet some/all of the following criteria:
support local people of color and working-class leadership;
engage in issue education and organizing in communities of color and other underrepresented communities;
work in regions with a more limited funding base, such as rural communities;
systematically integrate pressing environmental concerns with pressing racial and economic concerns;
pull back the curtain on corporate power and who controls money and power in America, creating greater transparency around the interests behind public policy and inequality; and
work to shift the policy debate on democratic inclusion, wealth, poverty, and race.
The Foundation does not provide grants for the following:
Scholarships or Fellowships
Direct or Grassroots Lobbying
Direct Social and Human Services
