MELT Group is hiring an IT System Administrator / IT Manager
In Melt Group we are searching for one of our clients, world leader in information technology and security systems, an IT System Administrator / IT Manager who will be responsible for the implementation, support, maintenance, risk and performance of the company immigration control system in Dakar (Senegal).

Position Summary

Reporting to the General Manager in country and Director of Global Operations, the IT System Admin/IT Manager supervises staff to ensure operations plans including 100% of system availability 24/7, policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans are consistent with the overall company goals and objectives. He/she also works on various IT developmental programs that would help the immigration control system reach newer heights.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
-Oversee all IT-related purchasing and budget usage; works with Accounting to develop budget.
-Review status reports and manages production of Technical Coordinator, Advanced Support
-Specialist and Software Developer and addresses issues as appropriate.
-Lend expertise to internal teams and task forces.
-Participate in all programs and enforces standard company policies and procedures.
-Review management evaluations for consistency.
-Manage human resources within the IT department in liaison with the General Manager. Motivate the staff to perform well.
-Set annual targets related to IT operations and monitor the overall performance of the entire department.
-Communicate with the client for service level agreements and ensure that they are monthly met.
-In consultation with the General Manager, design and implement IT policies.
-Anticipate future system needs and identify proactive solutions to satisfy needs.
-Come up with innovative ideas and keep current of the latest technology.

Requirements:
-Masters’ in computer science or related field; combination Bachelor degree and work experience also acceptable.
-Must be fluent in English (writing and speaking).
-Project management experience required; two years experience with deployedimmigration control software and hardware a plus. Networking and data center infrastructure experience required. Software development experience a plus.
-MS- SQL, Crystal Report, Microsoft.net (visual studio) MS project, or MS Visio a plus.
-Experience working overseas, preferably in East Africa; experience with the use of biometric technologies or data mining is a plus.
-Excellent written and spoken communication skills required; strong work ethic – professionalism, responsibility, and proactive/problem solving; experience working with and supervising a team.
