General frameRecognized as a public service and certified by IDEAS, Enfants d’Asie is an organisation founded in 1991 with the aim of supporting disadvantaged children in South East Asia towards a better future. Currently, with a presence in Cambodia, Laos, Philippines and Vietnam, it supports almost 10,500 children from very poor families. Enfants d’Asie provides comprehensive support: from education to professional integration, through the management of basic needs and moral support. Through access to education, Enfants d’Asie aims to allow the most disadvantaged children to construct their future and become responsible citizens in their own country. With nearly 30 years of experience in Southeast Asia, our organization is setting itself a new challenge today: to accelerate the development of its programs by supporting 50% more children by 2023, while continuing to improve the quality of its support to the most disadvantaged populations. Since 1991, Enfants d’Asie has worked in Cambodia in favour of underprivileged children. It manages its own center and supports state orphanages. Today, the organisation manages 3 of its own center, including a residence for students in Phnom Penh. underprivileged children are welcomed in these shelters to provide comprehensive support adapted to their needs throughout their time at school. These children can grow in a structured and beneficial living space. The local team is made up of 40 employees who implement, monitor and develop programs and activities. The team is currently working to reorganize and strengthen the support and social monitoring of children and their families. Global description of the positionBorey Niseth, one of our shelter based in Phnom Penh, is an opportunity for students over 18 years old to continue their studies in vocational training or university. 150 teenagers are living there: 75 students supported by Enfants d’Asie and 75 students by Passerelles Numériques, our partner. The center provides them with:
Since 2018, Enfants d’Asie reinforces its support to the students to improve their employability on the job market. They opened in Borey Niseth a training center for both the students who are living in the center and those who are community based in Phnom Penh. Through the ‘Get Ready” vocational training program, all the students benefit from English, IT and Soft skills courses, and an individual follow-up by the career guidance counselor. Under the direction of the Program Manager and in collaboration with the Cambodian team of Enfants d’Asie, the Director of Borey Niseth manages the team in order to give the children the opportunity to grow and flourish in a structured environment and, as such, become responsible and independent adults. He/she promotes the development of each student in his/her personal life and in his/her education. He/she is in charge of the management of a team of 4 employees (director assistant, social worker, guard…) and of the implementation and coordination of support for students to ensure the safety and appropriate living conditions for the students living in the center.
