Job Description:

Currently seeking a CFO with experience working with teams across Africa and within an environment that consists of a group of companies. The successful candidate will be leading the full finance function for Africa including financial performance, compliance, group policies, reporting and business partnering.

Responsibilities:

Supporting management to reach the group’s annual goals

Advise management on the financial implications of business activities

Evaluates and advises on the impact of strategic planning, introduction of new projects/investments or new acquisitions

Provide solutions to improve the profitability, cash generation and return on the capital employed

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting both for statutory and consolidation purposes

Be an active contributor to the different projects led by the group of companies

Anticipate accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and operational issues, assess their implications, determine their impact, develop, implement an appropriate action plan

Provide financial forecasting, budgets, performance analysis, investments monitoring and cash optimization

Recruit for and supervise the groups finance teams based across Africa

Ensure that effective internal controls are in place

Lead Corporate projects

Support all tax and legal matters as well as financial compliance

Organize the financial activities in the group

Driving projects / activities to execution

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

Master’s degree in finance, accounting or related fields

10 – 15 years of relevant financial and operational experience

Minimum of 6 years’ experience at senior management level

Previous experience working for a Group of Companies

Strong working knowledge of financial systems, statements and reports

Experience in an international / multicultural setting and role

Ability to work remotely from member of the team

Fluent English is required
