Job Introduction The BBC is an international multimedia broadcaster on radio, TV, online and social networks with a weekly global audience of 320 million. As part of a historic and exciting expansion of BBC Africa, the BBC World Service is launching new current affairs and news programmes and innovative digital services to work alongside existing African Services. BBC Afrique is a multimedia operation with an extremely varied output focusing on our African audiences across the continent. As Editor you will be responsible for the multimedia output for BBC Afrique, providing creative leadership and vision. Commandez MaintenantIn this role you will edit and coordinate the output of other BBC Africa Hub services as required, and help disseminate material and expertise to the wider BBC. You will assess and ensure the teams have capacity and skills-set necessary for professional and sustainable production of TV and radio content, maximise the opportunities for effective collaboration, multilingual working and commitment to digital production and ensuring Risk Assessment forms are adequately completed for deployments. You will manage and monitor the budget, maintain contacts with relevant agencies and liaise with the Business Development team ensuring there is effective communication and productive relationships with Re-broadcasting partners. This position will also need you to recruit, plan the training, supervise and motivate staff, coupled with developing senior talent with a view to taking the editorial lead.
