BAVO seeking Applications for Comic Relief Local Emergency Fund – United Kingdom

The Bridgend Association of Voluntary Organisations (BAVO) is seeking applications for the Comic Relief Local Emergency Fund to support vulnerable people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The fund aims to:
Maintain or increase activities that support the vulnerable during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic; and/or
Ensure third/voluntary sector organisations have the resources needed to deliver vital services for their communities; and/or
Encourage stringent health and safety protocols during all activities that safeguard third/voluntary sector staff, volunteers and beneficiaries.
This can include for example, preparation for re-opening services as lockdown continues to relax, helping organisations to diversify/develop new or improve existing skills, purchase of technology/equipment to support changing service delivery or equipment needed to ensure health & safety protocols are met to protect staff, volunteers and service users.

The maximum grant you can apply for is up to £5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible to apply if you are:

A third/voluntary sector (not-for-profit) organisation and are independent of government, private and public sectors;
A registered charity;
A constituted group;
Any other legally constituted not for profit body, e.g. CIC, CIO;
Using the funding for activities or services benefitting communities in Bridgend County Borough only;
An eligible organisation with its own bank account and at least two unrelated signatories.
