AfriStack célèbre ses 5 ans à Lomé

5 ans au service de la Jeunesse Africaine et Afro-descendante.

Pour marquer symboliquement les 5 ans de sa création, AfriStack  organisera une soirée commémorative le samedi 12 Décembre 2020 à l’hôtel Pélican. L’objet sera de présenter le parcours de l’organisation et les principes qui ont guidé ses actions, présenter les activités et de révéler sa vision au grand public. Ces instants ne seront pas uniquement que de réjouissance mais aussi un cadre d’évaluation les réalisations et de définition des perspectives d’avenir.

Rappelons qu’AfriStack est née de la volonté du Togolais Kokou POENOU en  2015 à New York. Dans la dynamique d’amener la jeunesse africaine et afro-descendante à contribuer à l’essor économique du continent, Kokou POENOU organise, depuis 2015, des formations aux USA et à travers plusieurs pays africains. Ainsi, près de 10.000 jeunes femmes, jeunes hommes et moins jeunes ont été touchés par les activités de l’organisation.

Entre autres de ces activités, nous pouvons citer AfriStack Women Only Startup Bootcamp(voir annexe 1) qui consiste à former des femmes entrepreneures sur l’entrepreneuriat et dont le Togo a eu l’honneur d’héberger la 4ème édition.

Nous citons également AfriStack hackathon(2) qui consiste à amener des spécialistes à apporter ou trouver eux-mêmes des solutions innovantes aux défis auxquels font face leurs communautés.

Une autre activité qui impacte positivement les jeunes est AfriStack Tech Club (3) où plusieurs jeunes de tout horizon se retrouve dans les locaux d’AfriStack pour une échange de connaissance à travers des ateliers pratiques avec sujets développés comme la maîtrise de l’impression 3D, la conception d’application Android ou de jeu vidéo, la programmation, la fabrication de drone ou encore comment envoyer un objet dans l’espace.

Un des projets phares est AfriStack Tech Educative(4). Parce que convaincus que l’éducation est un pilier pour le développement, l’organisation s’est assignée la mission de fournir des cours pratiques en technologie dans les écoles. Cours très expliqués et appréciés par les apprenants.

Bien d’autres programmes sont développés pour que la jeunesse s’équipe pour participer à la croissance de l’Afrique.

L’organisation continuera de multiplier ses actions dans différents domaines pour plus d’implication des communautés concernées dans le développement du continent africain et pour le bien-être de sa diaspora dans le monde. Elle attend collaborer avec les gouvernements et institutions pour l’implémentation de projets de développement.

AfriStack remercie ses partenaires et toutes les organisations qui se sont impliquées dans la réalisation de la mission qu’elle s’est assignée.

AfriStack celebrates its 5th anniversary

5 years in the service of African and Afro-descendant Youth.

To symbolically mark the 5 years of its creation, AfriStack will organize a commemorative evening on Saturday December 12, 2020 at the Pelican hotel. The aim will be to present the organization’s journey and the principles that have guided its actions, present the activities and reveal its vision to the general public. These moments will not only be for celebration but also a framework for evaluating achievements and defining future prospects.

Recall that AfriStack was born from the will of Togolese Kokou POENOU in 2015 in New York. In the dynamic of bringing African and Afro-descendant youth to contribute to the economic development of the continent, Kokou POENOU has been organizing, since 2015, training in the USA and through several African countries. As a result, nearly 10,000 young women, young men and adults have been affected by the activities of the organization.

Among others of these activities, we can cite AfriStack Women Only Startup Bootcamp (see annex 1) which consists in training women entrepreneurs on entrepreneurship and of which Togo had the honor to host the 4th edition.

We also cite AfriStack hackathon (2) which consists in bringing specialists to bring or find themselves innovative solutions to the challenges facing their communities.

Another activity that has a positive impact on young people is AfriStack Tech Club (3) where several young people from all backgrounds meet in AfriStack premises for an exchange of knowledge through practical workshops with subjects developed such as mastering 3D printing. , Android application or video game design, programming, drone manufacturing or even how to send an object into space.

One of the flagship projects is AfriStack Tech Educative (4). Because of the belief that education is a pillar for development, the organization has set itself the mission of providing practical courses in technology in schools. Courses very explained and appreciated by learners.

Many other programs are being developed for the youth to equip themselves to participate in the growth of Africa.

The organization will continue to increase its actions in different areas for more involvement of the communities concerned in the development of the African continent and for the well-being of its diaspora in the world. She expects to collaborate with governments and institutions for the implementation of development projects.
