We are looking for a Head of Compliance for IMEA Region. The purpose of the role is to oversee and drive the implementation and maintenance of an effective Compliance Program (anti-corruption and foreign trade controls) at the regional level covering the India, Middle East and Africa region in accordance with the Maersk’s Compliance Program requirements, local laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities
• Assume overall Compliance responsibility of the organization’s compliance with all anti-corruption and foreign trade control international and national laws applicable in the region
• Provides advice and solutions on compliance topics as corruption prevention and foreign trade compliance for decision-making to the Senior Management Team and other levels of the organization
• Consultation & oversight of government arrangements
• Work with local management to mitigate the identified compliance risks
• Identification of high-risk areas and mitigation actions in the region and for entities.
• Develop solutions to match business and Compliance needs
• Provide guidance on compliance obligations and best practices
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant authorities
• Lead Compliance projects to achieve Compliance for complex transactions and projects by involving all stakeholders
• Support implementation and maintenance of clear standards of business and ethical conduct consistent with Maersk standards and Commit rules
• Assisting with compliance risk assessments, performance monitoring and reporting
• Review and approve Due Diligence reports
• Support and drive compliance network and community
We are looking for
• Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s of Law or Business Administration or a Master’s degree economics, management or an equivalent legal qualification related discipline is preferred
• ACFE or SCCE or similar qualification a plus
• Required years of experience: 7-10 years
• 3-5 years in a similar position
• 2+ years regional knowledge and experience
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English and another Middle East or African languages would be advantageous
• Advanced knowledge within maintaining a Compliance Program (corruption prevention, or Foreign trade control)
• Experience in implementing Compliance programs in line with US best practices
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, due diligence, training and investigations
• Highly experienced and successful trainer and facilitator
• Experienced to guide team members through highly sensitive situations.
