3 New Funding Challenges announced by Humanitarian Innovation Fund: Inviting Great Ideas from Everywhere!

The Humanitarian Innovation Fund has announced three new Innovation Challenges to improve response to intimate partner violence, meaningful participation, and inclusive preparedness.

The HIF is a globally-recognised programme leading on the development and testing of innovation in the humanitarian system. Established in 2011, it was the first of its kind: an independent, grant-making programme open to the entire humanitarian community. It now leads the way in funding, supporting, and managing innovation at every stage of the innovation process.

Innovation Challenge: Innovative Responses to Intimate Partner Violence in Humanitarian Settings
This Challenge is looking to fund innovative IPV response interventions that meet the needs of and maintain the safety and security of women and girls in humanitarian settings.

Area of work: Gender-based Violence

This Innovation Challenge is looking to support the humanitarian community to explore how inclusive preparedness can enable inclusive humanitarian response, from the perspectives and experiences of people with disabilities, older people and representative organisations.

Area of work: Disaster Risk Reduction, Inclusion of People with Disabilities and Older People

Innovation Challenge: Increasing Meaningful Participation of People with Disabilities and Older People in Humanitarian Action
This Challenge is looking for innovative mechanisms to increase the meaningful participation of people with disabilities and older people in humanitarian action, and innovative ways of assessing the effectiveness of these mechanisms.

Area of work: Disaster Risk Reduction, Inclusion of People with Disabilities and Older People

Funding amount: £900,000 GBP (suggested £150,000 to £300,000 GBP per project)

These Challenges welcome applications from any legally registered entity (eg, civil society organisation – including representative organisations, international non-governmental organisation, national non-governmental organisation, academic/research institution, government, private company, Red Cross/Red Crescent movement, United Nations agency or programme).

(Ad) A massive library of Downloadable Ebooks, covering a range of how-to topics from fundraising, proposal writing, grant listings, donor listings to NGO management. Learn more.

Applicants from all countries are encouraged to submit applications by August 7.
